Bashing Bash

Bash has no redeeming qualities except that it is ubiquitous. That is the only reason I have put any effort into it at all. By the time I get deep into a project that involves a giant amount of Bash I usually regret it and wish I had just started the project off with Python. That said, I seem to have learned a lot more Bash than I ever intended.
