The first two digits are the significand coefficient (the most significant digits of the value) and the third digit is the power of 10 exponent. So a capacitor marked as 105 should be interpreted as 10 × 105 picofarads or 10E5 picofarads in E notation. That's a million picofarads, which is also called 1 microfarad (1 uF).
